Dear Parents/Carers,

Space Dome Day

On Monday 23^rd November, Year 5 are having a ‘Space Day’. The children will take part in a number of activities relating to Space.

‘Auriga Astronomy Star Dome’ will be visiting the school. The children will all be taking part in an amazing 45-minute show which will be a great experience.

The show covers lots of this term’s science and will help inspire the children for their Space themed English narrative work.

To follow the government guidelines, as each class is a bubble, they are able to go in as a class. However, we have decided to split each class into two groups, so the children will be in smaller groups of 15. All children will all be provided with a disposable face mask and the dome will be cleaned between each group visit. Children will sanitise hands before entering and on exit. The company have provided a risk assessment which follows all covid-19 regulations.

The cost of the day will be £6 to be paid by ParentPay (we are unable to accept cash payments).

If due to government guidelines, or a whole class bubble needing to close all monies will be reimbursed. In these uncertain times, it is great that we can give the children this wonderful experience in school. So we do appreciate your support in this.
