3KM Christmas Production
This event will take place on 14/12/2021
November 2021
Dear Parents/Carers,
Y3 Christmas Production
‘Hey Ewe’
I hope you are all well and are beginning to look forward to Christmas. As a school, we very much want to hold a face to face nativity play for our Year 3 children. However, we have been thinking very carefully about how to proceed with this in a COVID secure manner, particularly on the run up to Christmas when many people will be mixing with extended families who may be more vulnerable to the virus. After much deliberation, the following arrangements are going to be in place.
In order to ensure the performances can go ahead as safely as possible, we will be limiting the number of audience members at each performance so chairs can be spaced out. All audience members will be asked to wear a mask (unless exempt) and windows/doors will be kept open for increased ventilation. We would encourage all visitors attending to do a lateral flow test prior to attending the performance if possible and hand sanitiser will be available at the reception entrance for all visitors to use.
There will be three afternoon performances of the nativity. Parents from each class will be invited to attend on different days. We would invite all visitors to arrive by 1.45pm in order to allow a prompt start at 2pm, we will not be opening our doors until 1.45pm and therefore ask that you do not arrive any earlier than this:
Class |
Date of Performance |
3AO |
Monday, 13th December |
3KM |
Tuesday, 14th December |
3SF |
Thursday, 16th December |
Each child will be allocated 2 places for their class performance. If you have siblings in 2 different classes, please only book one date. Please book these places via ParentPay by purchasing a programme which will cost £3.50. The closing date for booking will be Monday, 6th December and programmes will be given out to children to take home on Thursday/Friday 9th and 10th December.
We will make a recording of the nativity. This will be available for all families to view via your child's school email address after the performances so anyone who is unable to attend can still enjoy the performance.
I am sure you can appreciate that the situation regarding the virus is very unpredictable. At this moment in time, we hope to be able to invite you in for these performances. However, if there is a rise in cases within the school in the coming weeks, we may have to review this. In this situation, money for programme sales will be refunded and the nativity will still be available to watch online via your child's email account.
Yours sincerely,
D Brown
