STEM Day 2024!
Today all the school took part in our annual Science Day. The day started with a Get Together where we were introduced to our STEM challenge.
Children then worked in small groups to make and design a Hurricane House. We thought about structure and design. In the afternoon, they carried out a range of experiments including looking at why polar bears have oily skin, biscuit challenge and refraction. During the day, the children also found out about different scientists including Maria Sibylla Merian, who was a biologist. At the end of the day, they all took home a science pack so that they could carry on the day and complete 4 experiments at home.
At the end of the day, pupils took part in a Science Fayre. We were overwhelmed by the level of Science we saw alongside creativity. Look at our Twitter feed for more pictures @ChurchHillJS!
