Church Hill C of E Junior School Raises £569.37 for Children in Need

Pupils, staff, and families at Church Hill C of E Junior School came together last week to support Children in Need, raising an impressive £569.37 for the charity.
The school marked the occasion with a lively non-uniform day and a hugely popular bake sale, both of which were met with enthusiasm from children and adults alike. Tables were filled with homemade cakes, cookies and sweet treats, many baked and donated by families from across the school community.
The event was organised by Mr Holland, the school’s Year 3/4 Phase Leader and Maths Leader, who praised the pupils for their kindness and generosity.
“It was wonderful to see our school community come together for such an important cause,” Mr Holland said. “The children showed great enthusiasm, and their contributions—big and small—helped make a real difference.”
Staff highlighted how the fundraiser not only raised money for a vital cause but also helped pupils learn about compassion, community and the importance of helping others.
The school has expressed its gratitude to everyone who donated, baked or took part in the day’s events. The funds will now go directly to Children in Need, supporting vulnerable children and young people across the UK.
Church Hill C of E Junior School looks forward to continuing its tradition of supporting charitable causes throughout the year through their House events.
