School Council

Our School Council 2025-2026

Ronnie, Jovin, Ava, Eljae, Diyana, Nancy, Zaeliah, Esme & Olivia

How it works:

We have a representative from each class and we meet at least every half term with Mrs Sudera, Deputy Headteacher. We are elected democratically by our class. Our job is to listen to ideas and suggestions from our class and then to ensure these ideas are heard at the meeting. We also feedback important information from the meeting to our class. We work together to be the pupil voice and make a positive change.

The vision of the council:

  • To ensure the pupil voice is heard
  • To promote the British value of democracy
  • To encourage children to become active and responsible citizens
  • To encourage positive relationships
  • To improve the school, in line with pupil vision

The Christian values we represent are Koinonia, Responsibility and Kindness.

This year, we have taken on the additional role of Eco-Warriors. We will be working very closely with Mrs Sudera on the Climate Action Plan 'Let's Go Zero by 2030'. Here are some of our jobs:

  • Ensure lights and boards are switched off when not in use.
  • Encourage reusable plastics (reduce single use plastics) in packed lunches.
  • Encourage biking/scooting to school through cycling proficiency for Year 5 and installation of bike/ scooter racks.
  • Promote a walk to school week.
  • Promote a car share week.
  • Ensure recycling bins and compost bins are in use.
  • Organise a clothing recycling bank at school.
  • Write to our MP regarding climate change to ensure we get our voices heard in a democracy.
  • Link the creativity competition linked to climate change.

Keep up with our school news for the latest developments.
